We're here to help you get the most out of Debt Snowball Planner.
The Snowball method focuses on paying off your smallest balance first while making minimum payments on all other cards. Once the smallest card is paid off, you roll that payment into the next smallest balance. This creates momentum and motivation as you eliminate debts one by one.
The Avalanche method prioritizes paying off the card with the highest APR (interest rate) first. This approach saves you the most money in total interest paid, though it may take longer to see your first card paid off.
If you want to save the most money on interest, choose Avalanche. If you prefer quick wins and motivation from seeing cards paid off sooner, choose Snowball. The Strategy tab shows you a side-by-side comparison so you can see the difference for your specific situation.
